About Harrowlight

Started with twelve neighbors and a play.

In 1994, high school drama teacher Augusta Penhallow gathered twelve neighbors for a production of Twelfth Night in a church fellowship hall. Thirty-three seasons later, Harrowlight has its own 140-seat black box and two classrooms.

Community volunteers painting theatre scenery together in a workshop

A home for making theatre.

We make room for the first audition, the new writer, the kid who wants to paint the set and the audience member ready for a great night out.

Our season pairs classic plays, musicals and new work with classes that give people a way in at every age.
